Description

NixieFX is a browser-based particle editor built for modern web games. It provides a focused visual workflow for authoring multi-emitter effects with timelines, curves, gradients, emission shapes, forces, noise, flipbooks, trails and node-based materials.

Effects are stored as plain JSON projects in a local folder, making them easy to keep with the game in source control. The editor exports a self-contained bundle for the MIT-licensed runtime. Its first-party Three.js adapter includes an instanced rendering path for compatible billboards, runtime controls, statistics and backend diagnostics.

NixieFX is free to use and requires no account. A CLI supports effect creation, validation and export for automated workflows, and dedicated coding-agent skills help developers author and integrate effects using the same project contract.

It is intended for the Three.js and PixiJS teams that want visual VFX authoring without migrating their entire game to a hosted engine.
