Minesweeper 3D No Guess

About

Minesweeper 3D is a free, browser-based puzzle game built with Three.js. Classic Minesweeper is rebuilt in a real 3D cube grid, where each cell touches up to 26 neighbors instead of 8. No download and no install needed. Play it at https://minesweeper3d.online No guessing, ever. Every board is validated by a solvability checker before it is shown, so a forced 50/50 never happens. A step-by-step logic solver explains each deduction in speech bubbles that follow the current cell through camera moves. Two geometries. Besides the cube grid, an icosahedron mode generates nested spherical shells built from frustum-shaped (truncated-pyramid) cells, with up to 38 neighbors per cell across shell boundaries. Built with Three.js For Three.js developers, the project shows how far a single scene can go without a framework. Vanilla HTML/JS, no build tools, Three.js 0.160.0 self-hosted. - Solver-checked generation: Flood-fill with subset deduction for the cube grid, and a CSP-style solver (subset plus frontier-component enumeration) for the icosahedron mode. - Neighbor detection across shells: Getting neighbors right across the frustum-cell shell boundaries was the most interesting geometry challenge. Outlines as real geometry: Hover and neighbor outlines are a 12-beam box-frame Mesh instead of LineSegments, because LineBasicMaterial.linewidth > 1 is silently clamped to 1px by Chrome, Safari and Edge (ANGLE). DOM overlay on a 3D scene: The explanation bubbles are tracked with Vector3.project(camera), updated every frame.
